DESCRIPTION:The City of Griffin and Spalding County are excited to continue the tradition of hosting the annual Independence Day Parade in Downtown Griffin. The parade will be held on Saturday\, July 4th at 10:00AM \nLocal businesses and individuals are encouraged to sign up to participate in the parade- walkers\, golf carts\, vehicles\, and floats are allowed. \nTo participate in the parade\, all golf carts\, vehicles\, and floats must be patriotically decorated and display a banner for the business or organization. If your parade entry includes a pull-behind trailer\, the length may not exceed 25 feet. \n**Please describe all parade entries individually in your group when registering (ex: Griffin Main Street program is entering 1 truck with trailer (float)\, 3 golf carts\, and will have walkers) \nPlease Note: NO CANDY is allowed to be thrown during the parade; walkers may hand out candy to spectators.

DESCRIPTION:The America 250th and Spalding County 175th Celebration Week concludes with a full day of patriotic fun in Downtown Griffin. \nThe day begins with the All-American Summer Car Show hosted by City of Griffin Public Safety from 9am to 12pm\, featuring a variety of classic\, custom\, and specialty vehicles. Proceeds from the car show will benefit the Public Safety Back-To-School Bash. \nInterested participants can register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2026-2nd-saturday-all-american-summer-peoples-choice-car-show-tickets-1990871770057 \nBeginning at 10am\, visitors can enjoy 2nd Saturday Shop\, Dine\, & Explore specials at participating downtown businesses. Throughout the day\, community organizations\, businesses\, and local partners will host activities throughout downtown to create a block-party experience for visitors of all ages. An event map highlighting activities\, vendors\, and specials will be available for pickup at participating downtown businesses. \nThe celebration continues into the evening with food trucks\, family-friendly activities\, the 2nd Saturday Concert Series hosted by the Griffin Downtown Council and featuring Lisa Perkins & The E-Lusion Band at 7pm\, with a one-of-a-kind Drone Show experience\, presented by the Griffin-Spalding Business and Tourism Association\, beginning at 9:30pm.
