Submit a Community Event

Are you looking to submit your event to our calendar? Great! We’re always on the lookout for fun events for visitors to check out.

Before submitting your event, please review our tips and requirements below.

What type of events are we looking for?

The inGriffin.com Events Calendar is aimed at visitors seeking leisure activities.

A good consideration is: “Would I do this while on vacation?” or “Is this something someone would visit Spalding County to do?”

Tips and Requirements:

Make your event more appealing to visitors and have a better chance of getting it approved by following these recommendations:

  •  Free and paid events are allowed, but paid events must have the price shown on the events listing.  An event link is provided to link to a ticketing website such as EventBrite, etc.
  • Must include a full description of the event and what visitors can expect.
  • Must include a high-resolution image of the actual event when possible. Exceptions can be made for first-time events.
  • Use proper punctuation.  Do not use all caps or Title Case in the event description.
  • All events must have an Organizer (the business or organization hosting the event) and Venue (the location of the event) listed.  You can select from the list of available organizers and venues or create your own.

Events not likely to be approved:

Events not likely to be approved include but are not limited to the following:

  •  Dining specials (Except for certain holidays including Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving and others)
  • Happy hours
  • Trivia nights at bars and restaurants
  • Dinner or drink specials
  • Seminars, lectures and workshops that do not appeal to general population
  • Business networking events not aimed at consumers
  • Consumer expos
  • Pet adoptions
  • “Grand Opening” of a business
  • Religious and political ceremonies and functions
  • Open houses and/or most anything else related to real estate
  • Events with limited capacity and/or restrictions on who may attend
  • Events located outside of Spalding County, GA.
Please note:

Your event will not automatically be added to the calendar once you click “Submit My Event.” It will first go through an approval process to make sure that it contains all the information needed to be added, and that the event is appropriate for our calendar.
