About Griffin+Spalding Business and Tourism Association
The Griffin+Spalding Business and Tourism Association (GSBTA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting business, tourism, trade, and conventions in Griffin and Spalding County, Georgia.
Funded through local hotel/motel sales tax, GSBTA actively supports the community by awarding grants to enhance local tourism and implementing strategic tourism campaigns. Regular meetings and collaborative efforts aim to foster growth and attract visitors and businesses to the area.

Mission
To promote business, tourism, trade, and conventions for the City of Griffin and Spalding County, Georgia. To study, investigate, and develop plans for improving business and tourism in the City and County and to implement such plans in order to attract businesses, visitors, and conventions to the City and County.
Core Initiatives
GSBTA conducts two primary functions:
- Solicitation, vetting, and awarding of Grants to promote local Tourism
- Creating and implementing an ongoing Local Tourism Campaign
Marketing & Tourism Campaigns
GSBTA leads dynamic tourism campaigns that highlight Griffin+Spalding as a key destination with diverse attractions and events. Our initiatives showcase the area’s connection to the Atlanta Motor Speedway, UGA Griffin Campus, and popular events like Pickleball Tournaments, Cherokee Rose Clay Shooting tournaments, and Youth Sports League Tournaments.
Additionally, we promote the rich local culture found in Downtown Griffin, which is renowned for its restaurants, shops, historical sites, concerts, architectural marvels, and vibrant arts scene. A special focus is given to celebrating all things related to Doc Holliday, a significant historical figure and the most notorious name connected to Griffin. Our marketing efforts include:
