East Solomon Street turned into one long neighborhood table as the community gathered for Feast on East, a free, family-friendly afternoon of food, music, and fall fun hosted in the heart of Downtown Griffin. From noon until 4 p.m., friends and families strolled tree-lined blocks, sampled tasty dishes from food trucks, and caught live sets from local musicians while kids lined up for pumpkin and face painting. It felt like the best parts of autumn in one easy afternoon.
The Vibe
Feast on East is designed to be simple and welcoming. The street closes to traffic, tables and chairs pop up under the oaks, and vendors set up along the sidewalks. You can grab lunch, linger over dessert, and still be close enough to the stage to hear the music without shouting over it. With the Imperial Theatre Park as a backdrop and East Solomon Street dressed in fall colors, it is a setting that makes slowing down feel natural.
