Submit a Community Event

Are you looking to submit your event to our calendar? Great! We’re always on the lookout for fun events for visitors to Griffin + Spalding County to check out.

Before submitting your event, please review our tips and requirements below.

What type of events are we looking for?

The inGriffin.com Events Calendar is aimed at visitors both inside and outside of Spalding County seeking leisure activities.

A good consideration when posting an event is: “Would I do this while on vacation?” or “Is this something someone would visit Spalding County to do?”

Tips and Requirements:

Make your event more appealing to visitors and have a better chance of getting it approved by following these recommendations:

  • Free and paid events are allowed, but paid events must have the price shown on the events listing.  An event link is provided to link to a ticketing website such as EventBrite, etc.
  • Must include a full description of the event and what visitors can expect.
  • Events description must include any advanced purchase / reservation requirements and a cut-off date if applicable.
  • Must include a high-resolution image of the actual event when possible. If it is a first time event and no images are available, a photo of the event venue or a formatted social media image may be used.  The ideal image size is 1200×630 (commonly used for Facebook posts).
  • Use proper punctuation.  Do not use all caps or Title Case in the event description.
  • All events must have an Organizer (the business or organization hosting the event) and Venue (the location of the event) listed.  You can select from the list of available organizers and venues or create your own.  You only need to do this the first time for each organizer and venue- we’ll save it for future use!
